This Luxembourgish tradition, which dates to 1827, before the country gained its independence, flourishes particularly in the village of Nospelt and at the Fish Market in the city centre. On this day, collectors have a field day purchasing the newly released Pëckvillercher, Folklore dances are performed, and the smooth whistling of the terracotta figure can be heard all around, thus making the markets a place you don’t want to miss out on.
